Food Footprint:
- Eat less red meat
- Eat more wild fish
- Compost food waste
- Buy local
- Buy organic
- Cook your own meals
- Buy food with less packaging
- Eat smaller portions - sit down for meals
- Choose the farmers market
Carbon Footprint
- Check out bus routes
- Carpool
- Turn off & unplug appliances when not in use
- Dry clothes outside when possible
- Ride a bicycle
- Drive efficiently
Housing Footprint:
- LED light bulbs
- Keep thermostat low – especially in the day time
- Only put dishwasher & laundry machines on when they are full
- Use environmentally friendly washing liquid and cleaning supplies
- Buy a Laundry Ball
- Shower less frequently and for less time
- Use cold water
Consumer Footprint
- Recycle
- Reduce consumption
- Look into reusing
- Buy less
- Shop locally
